SISI DASH
Born in Philadelphia, Sierra Thomas—professionally known as SiSi Dash—was raised just outside the city and discovered her passion for music at an early age. She began formal voice training at just 7 years old and sang in her church choir, laying the foundation for her dynamic vocal style.
SiSi trained under the legendary DeVonne Gardner, a vocalist who began her career singing with Duke Ellington at just 16 and remains the only living performer from his Sacred Concert series. While Gardner typically accepted students aged 14 and older, she recognized something exceptional in SiSi’s voice and began mentoring her early. Under Gardner’s guidance, SiSi honed her craft performing songs by artists like Yolanda Adams in lessons and recitals.
She attended Archbishop Prendergast High School (Prendie), where she actively participated in chorus, the citywide choir, and the drama club. Her standout performance as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music—particularly her rendition of “Climb Every Mountain”—left audiences deeply moved. SiSi also spent summers training at the historic Walnut Street Theatre, where she developed skills in stage movement and improvisation.
She continued her musical journey at Widener University, serving as President of the Chorus and later Vice President of the Gospel Choir. During this time, she expanded her communication and media experience by hosting a weekly radio show at a local station in Chester, PA. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing.
In addition to her concert and recording work, SiSi has been featured in various stage productions under the direction of John Graves, including Moses, Black Kid Joy, and Black Nativity, showcasing her versatility as both a vocalist and performer.
Professionally, SiSi gained experience with the Philadelphia Eagles as a Marketing and Inside Sales Intern and has since built a successful career in sales. She is currently employed as a full-time Sales Specialist for a global health and medical company, balancing her corporate career with her continued dedication to music.
SiSi recorded her debut tracks, “Good Day” and “We’re Incredible,” with Grammy-nominated producers Helen Bruner and Terry Jones. She has also collaborated with Donald Robinson on songs including “I’ll Be Right There” and “Can You Please Tell Me,” the latter tailored specifically to highlight her unique vocal tone.
She has released a 9-track solo album titled Free, marking an important milestone in her artistic journey. Building on that momentum, SiSi is set to release a new single, “Everything,” in June 2026.
Grounded in faith, family, and friendship, SiSi’s music reflects her core values—“God in her heart and R&B in her soul.” She credits her success to the unwavering support of her mother and manager, Sandy Dash, the mentorship of DeVonne Gardner, and the guidance of her “fairy godmother,” Sarah Dash of the iconic group Labelle, who helped open doors within the industry.
